          Model is available for free download at www.flyingarchitecture.com Model author is Zlatko Kozina (Croatia), but i had to remodel it a lot, mainly to fix the geometry. Model at flyingarchitecture.com is already with fixed geometry

            Nobody posts comments or suggestions What's wrong, people?
            I am working on the tutorial for flyingarchitecture.com at the moment, from modeling, setting up the scene and final animation render

            available in a few days!
            This is preview of last frame of the animation

              Hi Matus
              That's a nice render. Did you do the wall mural as a displacement map or is it modeled? Your windows are super detailed - is that from a manufacturer? The materials are really great, the fabrics and the floor are perfect!

                @andybot

                Hello! Thanks for nice comment. Wall mural - Meduse is pure geometry, generated from image to NURBS and then to Mesh (to be more efficient in render) This will be clearly visible in upcoming tutorial i am working on. Making the Medusa took about 15 minutes, so it's not a big deal! it took a lot of RAM to handle 2 milions of polygons (only this hydra relief!)

                I do not have very good experiences with displacement maps and i don't like them. In V-ray for MAX you can set their black and white values positions, so you do not have to move your carpet geometry under the floor to be rendered on the floor actually... this is also the reason why I stopped to use displacement maps so frequently as before.

                No, windows are not from manufacturer, they are not even very detailed, only basic section curve was made to create the window. After this I used SWEEP1 command to create the window frames...

                  Re: FlareVisuals | Matus Nedecky

                  Yes - true, I end up modeling things instead of displacement maps since it can be a frustration to get the result looking clean. When you have the settings to high enough quality, it takes more time to process the rendering than with geometry only. Where I like displacement are things like rough stone textures, tiles, and other things that repeat.

                  Glad you modeled the windows so simply, the result is very convincing. The good proportions and the gasket line make it very realistic.

                      the details and ambient of these renders are amazing!

                      Thanks for all

                        Matus, your images are gorgeous! Sometimes, a render could be so good, that people just don't know what to say. So....it's not so bad ;D
                        I'm very interested (after I read your interview), what pushed you to go with rhino, and how does it feel, after you used sketchup.
                        Regards,
                        Stefan

                            Re: FlareVisuals | Matus Nedecky

                            @stefanq - I had to start with something usable that time 3DSSux was unusable due to user-unfriendly environment and it's stability, sketchup didn't even know how to fillet edges that time. Rhino was so powerful, and still is. But what I appreciated the most, it was the fact I do not have to work with those trillions of triangles in polygon modeling programs! Now when somebody ask me about the model: "High poly?" I proudly answer: "No poly!" I simply hate polygons
                            @arturmf @mr.senator @andybot @acastro- thanks

                            Latest rendering for school project and for contest entry at the same time> Sleep unit again, this time inside attic

                                Hi! Yes, Subdivs were really high
                                And there is everytime some photoshop tweaking, because flare effects, glows and others are not possible in VfR now.
